SHARK IS READY TO FLY

G-MAAL on the way to the Popham Trade Fair

Shark, G-MAAL is now cleared for flight on the UK register. Here is Dave after difference training and signing off to fly Shark. Gary will follow shortly. The difference training has to take account of Variable Pitch Propeller, Retractable Undercarriage and any aircraft which can exceed 140kts has to be trained for. Shark can easily exceed this speed. Many other differences were covered during the training such as Flaps, Speed and Operation. Auto Pilot and Navigational Safety Feature for return to base. The EFIS system is Dynon and is a sophisticated computer visual display duplicated in the rear seat. This is backed by a separate Flybox with independent inputs showing Airspeed, Altitude, direction, enough to fly with if the computer goes black. Ive been mightily impressed with what this fighter like machine can do.

MID ANGLIA LIGHT SPORT AVIATION – BECCLES AERODROME 7 MARCH 2024                          SEE US AT POPHAM 4/5 MAY

Shark will make its debut at Beccles Aerodrome with Mid Anglia Light Sport Aviation on 7 March while they eagerly await the arrival of their own new Shark aircraft.

Seen here on 12 February in Beccles is the Shark demo aircraft from UK importer The Light aircraft Company.

Pat Fenn, head of the MID ANGLIA organisation said, “I have followed Shark Aero for a couple of years and It’s a year since I went to the factory in Slovakia last February for my demo flight. I fell in love with it just minutes into the flight. So impressed was I that an order for a production slot followed as soon as I arrived home”.

I can’t adequately describe in words how this aircraft performs, you have to experience it. We are now compiling a list of those wanting to fly in Shark so please get in touch as we are putting together a program for when our aircraft arrives.

Our Shark is the first to be sold in the UK and will join our existing training fleet of 3, C42’s, a Flexwing and Gyro where we can take you through your journey to gain your NPPL pilot’s licence.

We are now in our 10th year of operation serving Norfolk, Suffolk and the wider Anglia region and this considerable investment in the new aircraft is the icing on the cake to commemorate our operating milestone. For more information, check out our brand new website  https://midanglia-aviation.co.uk   which went live 12 February.      See you on the 7 th.
