Sitting between the C42 defacto training machine and the super sophisticated Shark 600 is the newest addition to the fleet and it is a mid point specification model. It is the Skyleader 400 being built in the factory in the Czech republic.
The C42 is very simple to learn to fly having only a control stick, throttle, flap lever and a foot control for each foot.
The Shark on the other hand has retractable undercarriage, propellor pitch control, autopilot and many features as part of the inbuilt EFIS computor. It’s speed (150kts +) and agility requires a higher degree of skill and demands a level of currency to fly it well and therefore safely.
There has been a need for something in between. Offering the next level of sophistication above the C42, equipped with less “toys” than Shark, but still new, modern and sophisticated. It is the first to a Flying School in the UK and another first for Mid Anglia Aviation.
Already cleared to fly in the 600kg LSM category, it is seen here in demonstator guise with its native registration. Our actual aircraft is due for build completion by end of the second week in January 2026. Test flying in Czech will follow as soon as weather allows, after that we will be setting the program for flying it to the UK.
The aircraft will be added to the Mid Anglia Aviation training fleet ready for the new flying season once we have it here so watch this space for further details as soon as we have pictures of our new aircraft.

All our Air Experience Flights are conducted by highly skilled and very experienced Flying Instructors who are fully authorised by the CAA to conduct them. Your safety (and having fun) is paramount here at Mid Anglia Light Sport Aviation.
Choosing your voucher
Weekends are extremely popular and fill quickly. Weekdays however usually have greater availability so pick the voucher which best suits your needs.
Flight vouchers purchased directly from us are valid for 12 months.
Money value general vouchers are valid for 6 months
We may occasionally supply vouchers to third parties that are of shorter duration. Please ensure you check upon receipt and INFORM US OF ANY DISCREPANCY WITHN 7 DAYS OF THE VOUCHER START DATE. Do ensure you book in good time to avoid disappointment.
A 60 min flight experience gives you approximately 50 minutes in the air, the balance being taxiing and checks
A 90 min flight experience gives you approximately 80 minutes in the air, the balance being taxiing and checks

Extending the validity period of your voucher
Has your voucher expired (or is it about to expire) but still want to fly? Use the link below to extend your voucher for an additional 3 months. Please send us an email once you have paid and include your name and original VOUCHER NUMBER.
NB This link cannot be used to extend the validity of 3rd party vouchers ie. Into The Blue and BMAA – you must contact the organisation which sold you the voucher.
When will I receive my Flight Voucher?
As soon as we receive the funds your Flight Voucher will be posted 1st class in a plain envelope – like you, we don’t want to give the game away if it’s a surprise present!
